Jenifer Kay Olsen's Obituary
Jenifer Kay Olsen, age 69, passed away Tuesday morning, August 29, 2017. She was born August 20, 1948 in Muskegon to Myron and Mary (Bower) Ross. Jenifer attended Reeths-Puffer High School and later served six months in the United States Army before being honorably discharged. In 1976, she married Ron Olsen and he preceded her in death in 1985. Jenifer worked for Howmet for many years prior to retiring. She suffered a stroke in 2004 and moved back to Muskegon to live with her sister, Judy, who cared for her along with many other members of the family. Jenifer loved collecting anything that had to do with pigs. She also enjoyed going to casinos, eating out, watching movies, and visiting family. Jenifer was a loving aunt. Her nieces and nephews were like her children. She loved spending time with them and even helped raise them. Jenifer will be sadly missed by all. SURVIVORS include her brother, John (Rachel) Ross; three sisters: Renee (Wayne) Barton, Judy Bentley, Laurie (Ronald) Austin; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael “Pete” Ross; and two nephews: Michael Barton and Donald Winchel. A Celebration of Jenifer’s Life will be held 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Timberline Estates Office/Hall.
