Jenifer Ann Scott's Obituary
Jenifer Ann Scott, age 59, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, June 1, 2007, at her home. She was born June 23, 1947, in Grand Haven to James and Louise (Schuett) Scott. She graduated from Spring Lake High School in 1966, Wayne State University with a B.A. in Sociology in 1971, and Grand Valley State University with a Master’s in Education in 1988.
Jenifer worked as a special education teacher for Hart Public Schools for eight years and resided in the Ludington area. She returned to the Tri-Cities area in 2003. Jenifer enjoyed kayaking and other outdoor activities and reading. She was talented in basket weaving, wood carving, and had a passion for animals. Jenifer enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She is admired by her family and friends for her undying strength of character.
Survivors include a son, David Orlowski of Farmington, MI; three sisters: Joan (Glen) Gray of Grand Haven, Mollie (Arnold) Strang of West Olive, and Jill (Ralph) Scott Gregus of East Lansing; and two brothers: Jim Scott of Grand Haven and Greg (Michelle) Scott of Auburndale, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, James Scott, in 1989 and her mother, Louise Scott in 2003; and two nephews, Nathan and Adam Bennett.
A celebration of Jenifer’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.
