Jennifer Carlene “Queenie” Wellman got her angel wings on June 20, 2015. Jennifer was born October 28, 1957 in Jackson County, TN. She was preceded in death by her father, Venson R. Wellman Jr. of Grand Haven; step-father, Donald Read Obituary

Jennifer was a such a fun, loving person a big part of my senior year in high school at Lake Hamilton. As we drove through Hot Springs and shared feelings with our own little "breakfast club" of Jackie, Tammy and Jennifer - I feel she made a big difference in my life! She had a wonderful sense of humor, and a great personality and was so loved by so many. Gwynn "Yates" Van Valkenburg
Queenie was one of the great ones - she will be sadly missed by everyone who ever knew her. Wish we could have known her better but remember a lot of great times since we joined the eagles.

Myrtle & family, I am so sorry to hear about Carlene. We will keep you all in our thoughts & prayers & will say a prayer for her.
Dearest family, My heart was so sad when I opened the paper and saw her picture. What a friend! She was what made those last few years of high school fun. Her laugh was contagious and she had fun just oozing from her. For this shy little girl to have her for a best friend made my life fun. Though its been a long time since I saw her I will forever miss her. The memories I have are of us going "trick or treating" now that wouldn't have been so bad but we were seniors in high school. It was such fun. And the lazy days on the lake. The time Loretta had just come back from the beauty shop and Jennifer dunked her in the lake. Myrtle had to fix her hair for her or maybe paid to have it fix. We loved to bowl and go out for tacos after. Oh and algebra with Mr. Anderson. No one understood him but no one but Jennifer would say anything to him. Well most of my memories of high school include her. I never would have joined choir if she hadn't talked me into it. My prayers are with you all. Love Donna Reed Hightower
My deepest sympathy goes out to jennifers family. Jennifer loved life and always had a smile on her face. Those of us that knew her loved her. I had many laughs with her at the bowling alley. She was a wonderful person and will truly be missed. Rest in peace my friend. Bonnie Heinz
