Jennifer Carlene "Queenie" Wellman's Obituary
Jennifer Carlene “Queenie” Wellman got her angel wings on June 20, 2015. Jennifer was born October 28, 1957 in Jackson County, TN. She was preceded in death by her father, Venson R. Wellman Jr. of Grand Haven; step-father, Donald Batty of Hot Springs, AR; grandparents, Ed and Maryann Coffee of Gainesboro, TN; and Venson and Ester Wellman of Grand Haven; uncles, Bob and George Wellman of Grand Haven, Tommy and Jimmy Coffee of Chicago, IL; step-sister, Jane Winter of Boston, MA; aunts, Nannie Rogers of Gainesboro, TN and Mary Johnson of Washington. She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Batty of Hot Springs, AR; her loving devoted companion, DJ Westerhouse of Norton Shores, MI; two brothers, Venson Wellman of Hot Springs, AR and Donald (Debbie) Batty of DeQueen, AR; five nieces, Kayli Wellman of Benton, AR, Cortnie Morrow of Benton, AR, Candace Davis of Kirby, AR, Christina Winters of Boston, MA, Jean Batty of DeQueen, AR; three nephews, Nash Wellman of Hot Springs, AR, John and Gerry Batty of DeQueen, AR; aunts, Betty (Gene) Johnson of Fruitport, MI, Sarah Mateja of Hot Springs, AR, uncle Billy (Brenda) Coffee of Hot Springs, AR, three great-nephews, two great-nieces, and numerous cousins and friends who will miss her so much.
Jennifer was past president and trustee of the Grand Haven Eagles Auxiliary, president and delegate of Grand Haven WBA. She was very active in her community and enjoyed golf, boating and bowling.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Friends may meet the family from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Interment will be in Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
