I met Jerry when we lived in Memphis
and he always had a smile, and a new
gadget to give me from Autozone. He
was a generous and fun loving guy and
will be missed by us all, but rest

We became best friends with Jerry and Sara in Memphis, Tennessee, parties, cook-outs, and pool side events that only Jerry, Sara and Doris know about. Jerry was truly a wonderful man and loving husband and father and we are so saddened that he is gone. We know that he is now free of pain and sitting in the arms of our Lord and Savior. We shall always remember him and we were blessed and fortunate to know him. Our love to Sara, Cherilee, Michael and the grandchildren he loved so much. In the last 5 1/2 years I had the priviledge to work with Jerry and I am glad that I got to know such a strong and brave man. He was greatly loved and will be terribly missed.
He has been and will always be in my prayers.

Jerry fought cancer more courageously than anyone I have ever known.
This showed just how much he loved God, family and his life.
He embraced life and lived it to the fullest and still managed to be kind, giving and cheerful to anyone he crossed paths with.
Jerry was and will continue to be a true inspiration for me.
I know God has a special plan for him.

Dear Sara and family. I am so sad to learn of Jerry's death. I remember all our fun times at Union High School. You and Jerry, Joyce and Jerry, and I and others in the "Class of 57" had many "advertures in the "good old days" and Jerry was always the most fun loving of the group. I'm sorry I can't be at the service in Mansfield. Sara, you were my first best friend, starting in the first grade. Jerry Kohler-what a great guy! We got to know Jerry and Sara in quite a different way. We, too, love boating. We were thinking of buying a "new" one a couple years ago and I noticed Jerry's ad for his in the paper. When I went down to Barrett's to see the beautiful Four Winns 245 Vista Cruiser, Jerry was there and we became good friends almost at once. But, I'm think that's the way it was with everyone that met Jerry. You fealt like his best friend immediately. Jerry and Sarah and we went out on their boat a few times and had a great time always. (we never did buy the boat and I'm still sorry to this day) We even played cards with Jerry and Sara and I think the gals always won. Jerry, you will be greatly missed.
