Joanie Annette Hannah's Obituary
Mrs. Joanie Annette Hannah, age 52, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Mercy Health Partners. She was born in Muskegon MI on January 8, 1968 to Dasie Helen Day and was a life-long resident of the area. She attended Muskegon High School and graduated from Baker College with her Associates Degree. Joanie was employed for many years as an accountant for major food chain companies. She enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her daughters. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle under the leadership of Andrew Henderson. Joanie is survived by her husband, Charles Hannah; children, Sharleitta Wallace, Larreida Johnson, Darvena Wallace, Quintina Wallace; stepchildren, OshKalon Davis and TaNeshia Hannah; ten grandchildren; one brother, Willie Wallace; mother, Dasie Day; four sisters, Patricia (Tex) Sullivan, Penny Wallace, Cynthia Wallace, Tracy Wallace; brothers-in-law, Larry (Dorothy) Hannah and Ronald Hannah; sisters-in-law, Reta Hannah, and Devetta Beechum; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and church family. She was preceded in death by her nephews, Cornelius Wallace and Steven Wallace; godfather, Mr. Tate; brothers-in-law, Alexis Hannah and Eddie Hannah; mother-in-law, Ruth Hannah; father-in-law, Obbie Hannah. A PUBLIC VISITATION for will be held from 4PM-7PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S Harvey St, Muskegon, Michigan 49444. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is allowed 25 guests in the building at a time. As people pay their respects to the family and exit the building, more guests will be allowed in. Masks will be required. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fresh Anointing COGIC,1121 Jefferson St, Muskegon, MI 49440 with Elder Willie Williams Jr., officiating. BURIAL will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to family.
