While pressing the backspace key 25+ times trying to figure out what to write here, I found myself tearing up and smiling at the same time and needing to pause. That pause helped me realize that smiles and tears are part of any long, strong, mutually respectful and caring relationship and that is what we had (many other too, I am sure.)
Johanna was literally next to me for so many of my first experiences that it is impossible to state/share here. Out of all the memories we shared, "Anna" ALWAYS displayed such a unique kindness and genuine respect which towards me, that it was impossible for me not to show here the same in return. She was very special and I pray that her spirit continues to influence us all now and in the future. My hearts goes out to her wonderful family and children. Your presence here on earth will be greatly missed. Love you, Michael.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. What a beautiful mom, wife and friend. Our family is praying daily for you. You are on our hearts. Johanna and I grew up together and attended the same elementary middle and high school. She was always a positive light and made friends with everyone. Even as we lost touch after high school when we would see each other now and then no one missed a beat with her. My sympathies and condolences to the family. She is with God now and looking down on us with her smile.

Johanna and I were not best buds in high school but when i was the only male singer in glee, Johanna was always supportive of me and became one of my good fiends. She always had my back if someone made rude comments and was just an all around amazing friend. Over the last few years we were able to reconnect and see one another a few times in the process...Introduced our spouses all the while hoping she wouldn’t share any of my not so awesome moments as a young dumb kid. Had the pleasure of singing karaoke with her and her husband, which is something I’ll never forget. As hard as this is for all of us, I have comfort in knowing that she is in a better place and we will all reconnect very soon. My thoughts, prayers, and biggest hugs to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing my friend Johanna. Miss you friend.
