John F. Bishop's Obituary
John F. Bishop, age 57, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020. He was born April 20, 1963 in Muskegon to Jack and Judith (Haapalainen) Bishop. John was a life-time member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and long-time Cursillista of DeColores. He was employed as the Director of Quality at Medallion Instrumentation. He enjoyed shopping, playing video and board games, doing puzzles, watching movies, cooking, playing softball, being a huge U of M fan, and making people laugh. He was also very generous, loved spending time with his family, and overall had a very large heart. John is survived by Shai Bishop (Daughter) and Fiancé Charles Morton, Mike Leutheuser (Stepson), Cindi Mills (Girlfriend), Annette Bishop (Friend), Siblings: Julie Bilka (Ken), Jerry Bishop (Deon), Jack Bishop (Janet), Jason Bishop (Dawn), Jill Smith (Scott), Jamie Bishop (Sarah), Janna Hite (Patrick); Nieces and Nephews: Amanda Boss, Adam Boss (Stephanie), Ryan Cooper, Lucas Cooper, Christy Bilka, Drew Bishop (Kelsey), Erin Bishop, Deon Worrel (Ryan), Joshua Bishop (Fiancée Rachel), Brooke Sample (Adam), Brodon Bishop, Ethan Holy, Emma Streblow, Karley Leek, Ethan Hite, Caleb Gould, Avery Gould; Great Nieces and Nephews: Jace Greenwood, Emmaleigh Boss, Jacob Boss, Matthew Boss, Peter Bishop, Zoe Bishop, Karoline Worrel, Audrey Worrel, Remington Sample, and Lincoln Sample. He was preceded in death by his parents; and Nieces: April Boss and Lindsey Bilka. There will be an informal Memorial Service for John at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 13, 2020, followed by an open house style visitation with family until 5:00 PM at the home of Ken and Julie Bilka – 1917 Seminole Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49441.
