John was without a doubt my best boyhood friend! We were neighbors and shared grade school and high school years together. He and his family lived directly across from our home on Muskegon Avenue. He was a great friend and it was obvious he would become a Professor as he was always correcting his friends English.

My sister Patrica, who still lives in Muskegon, informed me of his passing. I live in Shenzhen where I work as an Industrial designer. My heart goes out to all his family. He was a great friend to me!
