John Peter Danigelis' Obituary
John Peter Danigelis, age 77, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Muskegon. He was born March 19, 1941 in Muskegon to Peter and Christina (Klikas) Danigelis and lived his entire life in the area. On September 24, 1983, he married Azucena “Suzy” Collazos in Muskegon. Prior to his retirement in 2006, he was a professor at Wayne State University, Grand Valley State University and Baker College of Muskegon. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he served as a chanter. SURVIVORS include his wife, Suzy Danigelis of Norton Shores; 2 daughters, Amiee Danigelis of Washington and JoAnn Danigelis of England; 1 granddaughter, Leila Danigelis of England; 1 brother, Dino (Mary) Danigelis; 1 sister-in-law, Nika Danigelis; nieces and nephews, Tina (Wayne) Pickler, Gregory (Wendy) Danigelis, Elena Danigelis and Elizabeth Danigelis. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Peter Danigelis. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00am Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (185 E. Pontaluna Rd.) with Fr. John Sakellariou presiding. VISTIATION will be held 5-8pm Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with the Trisagion Service at 7:45pm Wednesday evening. BURIAL will take place at Norton Cemetery.
