Anna and family: I am so saddened to hear of John's passing. I met John and his best friend Kevin over 30 years ago at Goodwill. I remember his love of bowling, his kindness and his smile. Everyone who knew him will miss him.

We knew John from St. Michael's parish. He was a sweet and gentle soul. Very loving. Twenty two years ago I wrote a passion play which we performed at Muskegon Catholic Central. John was very excited to be in the play. One of my favorite memories was when Jesus was hanging on the cross, I told those who were playing members of the crowd to just shout out cruel things at Jesus. I told them to make up something. After the performance, John came up to me and asked, "Was I good? I said, 'Get him. He's a nerd.'" I loved his interpretation that he did on his own. I don't think there was a mean bone in John's body. He loved everyone. It was with sorrow that I learned of his passing. But, he lived a good life. May he rest in peace in the arms of Jesus, his savior.

I have great memories of going over to your house & our moms were always working on something whether it be church, school or whatever. Dear Annie, Bill, Joni, and Andy,
Childhood memories of our families visiting each other for First Communions, Confirmations, graduations, all of the momentsbig and small, where John was part of the group, playing in our back yard... Many times in later years while shopping with my mother during visits home, we would run into your mom and "her best shopper" John. He had a full life with meaningful work, family and friends, sports and love. I am truly sorry for your loss.

For any other difficulties Johny may have had, he was born and lived with a heart big enough for two people. I remember him speaking at your Mother's funeral, climbing up behind the pulpit and delivering his own eulogy. I'll bet his were the only dry eyes in St. Michael Church. My condolences to all of you, my friends, and know that you are in my prayers.
