I was in shock to hear the news and so late. I am so sorry for the loss of this amazing man. I had Mr. Knoll as a teacher several times. He was by far my favorite teacher. He really tried to hard to make sure i got a education.. (even though at the time i did not care about a education) but he made me believe in myself and i am so sad i did not get to say goodbye.may he rest in peace and he will never be forgotten! Mr. Knoll always had a smile which would light up a room. His devotion to his students and his concern for their well-being was unsurpassed. Please accept my condolences.

Words can't describe the man and mentor Mr Knoll was. I have so many memories of Mr. Knoll as a teacher and coach, but most of all a freind. He will be greatly missed by the Fruitport Community and by anyone who had the oppertunity to meet him. He was a great man and my heart felt prayers go out to you all at this time. I had Mr.Knoll for 9th grade English and he also was my cross country coach.
It didn't seem to bother him that I was the WORST runner ever! Always getting lost cause I have no sense of direction. He'd just wait then send the boys out looking for me. One of my last races I was finishing and another girl was racing me to the finish line and I finally beat someone..he was there cheering me on..he told me later he knew I could do it. He always had faith in me even when I didn't. I will always be thankful for that.

Dear Mrs. Knoll & family,
Mr. Knoll was my speech teacher at Fruitport High School. He was a great guy and his smile was infectious. You just couldn't help but smile back when he showed that big grin. Anyone who had him for a teacher was truly blessed by him being a part in preparing us for our future. I'm sure he will be missed by many. Ronda Stratton Kotecki (FHS class of '73)
