Mr. John W. Marquardt's Obituary
Mr. John W. Marquardt, 59, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015, at his home. He was born July 5, 1955 to William E. and Alice P. (Hoak) Marquardt in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to the Muskegon area 27 years ago. John worked for Baumann and DeGroot Heating and Cooling for several years, was a Coast Guard and Navy veteran, loved golfing and downhill skiing. Most of all he loved being with his grandchildren. On August 10, 1990 John married Marion L. Bennett, and she survives him along with 3 children, Christopher (Jamie) Marquardt, Stephanie Doremire, Jacob (April) Reinecke; 5 grandchildren, Kennedy, Kassie, Kelsey, Zachary, and Brayden; his mother, Alice Marquardt; 1 brother and 1 sister; close friends, Kevin Vanderzwaag, Mike Naffie and Miki Phillips. John was preceded in death by his father, William Marquardt, and his son-in-law, Tony Doremire. Private family services will be held. Contributions in John’s memory may be made to Harbor Hospice.
