John Paksi's Obituary
Mr. John Paksi, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 24, 1946 in St. Johns, MI to Tom and Mary (Deming) Paksi, and moved to the West Michigan area 21 years ago. John was a Veteran of both the U.S. Navy and Michigan National Guard. He worked at Metal Technology, Inc. in Ravenna for 14 years, before retiring in 2010. John was a member of All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake. On August 19, 1989, he married the former Karen Burgess, and she survives him along with six children, Lauri (Ryan) Walsh of Grand Rapids, and Ken (Fallon) Paksi of Owosso, Kimberly (Stacy) Vincent of St. Johns, MI, Kari (Brian) Guy of Grand Ledge, MI, and Jonathan Rademacher and Rick Rademacher both of Muskegon, 10 grandchildren; two brothers, James (Donna) Paksi, and Ronald (Connie) Paksi; and two sisters, Jane (Terry) Cressman, and Judy (Dan) Cerveny. John was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at All Shores Wesleyan Church (15550 Cleveland St, Spring Lake 49456) with Pastor Dan Ward officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso, MI. Memorial Contributions to Wounded Warriors and Johnson Cancer Center will be appreciated.
