I have a lot of memories of John, he has always been there when he was needed, but the memory I remember the most is when he had to be around 6-7 years old, they lived on Sullivan Road, I was about 14, Our mothers mine being Alice and his of course was Annabel, had gone shopping and left me to keep and eye on the younger kids, John had cut the bottom of his foot ( those were the days we didn't wear shoes in the summer), it was quit a bad cut, and of course being the oldest of a family of eight, I was not afraid of the blood and he did bleed a lot. I took care of it and him. I don't remember if had stiches! I will always remember it as he was very brave! I love him and will miss him!
R.I.P. John. We shared a lot of good times as kids back in the sixties, before the sewer came and broke up the team. My condolences to Rita and the family
