John R. “Gpa” Rigg, age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was born on September 3, 1942 to Richard and Audrey (Fox) Rigg in Petoskey , MI. John worked as a DNR officer for the State of Michigan for 25 years. He thoroughly enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren, fishing, hunting and trips to the casino. John was a member of the FOP Charles D. Hammond Lodge #99. On December 27, 1984, he married Victoria Hewartson and she survives him along with 2 sons, Steve (Bethany) Rigg and Dennis Overeiner; 3 grandchildren, Walquer, Victor and Alicia; mother, Audrey; brothers, Tom (Marty) Rigg and Jim (Donna) Rigg; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
