John was my friend and fellow Tai Chi student years ago. We shared many great times as well as struggles. He had a kind heart and a wonderful smile. My condolences to his family. The world will miss him.

I met John at the information day for PTSD at Bethany Church and became friends while going to the support group meetings. John always had warm smile and a kind greeting. We did not know that our last hand shake with a man hug saying so long was really good by. Johns vast knowledge and help is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. My memories of John are many, as he was both my Massage Therapist and Tai Chi instructor. Both experiences changed my life dramatically, and I will be forever grateful for his presence in my life in a time of great transition. John will be missed as both my friend, brother, and sifu, my life had a greater intrinsic value because of John being in it. John gave me the grace to see myself in a more positive light, and was always very patient and understanding even though I frustrated him and challenged some of his beliefs constantly. My deepest sympathy to his family and my hope that they can find comfort.
