So sorry to hear of John's passing. He had a long and productive life.

John and Jean treated me like another son. I remember all the good times we had in Boy Scouts, canoeing, camping, ice hockey in the back yard and the trip to Michigan Tech in June of 1962.

My Mom wants to send her condolences also and she remembers the trips up North (ski jump) and other locations. She also remembers many good time at the Zephers Hockey games.

John was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. He gave me lots of gardening advice and he had a lawn I envied. He always had a joke or opinion. He and Jean were like an extra set of grandparents to my kids, spoiling them with cookies, icecream, or dill pickles. A couple of years ago he told me he had lived a good life and had a great family. I think he felt like a rich man. I'm sure he is in heaven watching his Red Wings playing the Penguins. Grandpa, you were such a great role model and person. I am so lucky to have been able to spend 35 years knowing you!
