Joseph L. Gabris' Obituary
Joseph L. Gabris, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born on May 30, 1938 to Joseph and Edna (Swarvar) Gabris in Muskegon. Joe was a hard worker who retired from S. D. Warren after 45 years of work. He was an avid golfer, photographer and cribbage player. Joe always loved to make a difference and put a smile on people faces. On February 4, 1994 he married Jean Griswold-Gabris and they spent 23 happy years together, she survives him along with children, Joseph Gabris, Timothy Gabris, Raymond (Vicki) Gabris, Pattie (Jeff) Grey; step-children, Leone (Mark Kinziger) Daly, Bill (Karen) Griswold, Ken (Kelly) Griswold, Ray (Kimberly) Griswold; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, John (Diane) Gabris and sisters, Carol (John) Jodon, Gayl (Mike) Berryhill. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene and sister, Annette. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL for Joseph will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 6th ST.) with visitation an hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's name can be made to the American Heart Association. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.
