Joseph L. Szczesny's Obituary
Joseph L. “Jo Jo” Szczcesny, went to be with his Lord on July 4, 2020. He was born to Jerome and Betty (Smith) Szczesny on July 3, 1963 in Muskegon. Joseph attended St. Michael’s school, graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School and attended Michigan Tech University. He died of natural causes at his parent’s vacation home in Long Lake, Walhalla, Michigan, his favorite place. Joe was a fun-loving son and was the life of the party. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. SURVIVORS include his son, Jesse; wife, Kim; grandson, Bennett; mother, Betty Szczesny; brother David Szczesny; nephews, Dan and Sam; and niece, Lynn. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Jerome; and brothers, Steven and Michael Szczesny. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Thursday, July 9, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Charles Hall presiding. VISITATION will be 5-7PM Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. Muskegon, MI 49441 (231) 759-8565.
