I had a pleasure of workining with Joe at Nicholas Plastics. He had impacted my life tremendiously. He arranged a blood drive at NPI, that would help out a lot of people in need. It was the first time I was able to donate because of my busy schedule being a single mother. The results of me participating in the blood drive I found out I had hepatitis C. I would have not found out otherwise. I went through extreme drug therapy and today I am hepatitis FREE. I feel in Joe's way of helping people that he saved my life so I can continue to raise my son. There are angels around us every day and I do feel Joe was one working for God. All my thoughts are with Snow and his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Joe while we were both HR Managers for JSJ companies in Grand Haven. He always had a smile and he was always very encouraging to me as I started my career in HR Management. I was so saddened and shocked to hear of his passing and wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and that you were in my prayers.##imported-begin##Kristi Carmean##imported-end##
To the Martella family:
I had the pleasure of working with Joe in Human Resources at Nicholas Plastics.
In the short time he was here, I grew to respect him more than almost anyone else I can think of. His entire life here was devoted to giving to his co-workers. He rarely was without a smile and his optimism was contagious. He touched a great many lives here, as he has in his private life. My only regret is that I wasn't able to give back to him as much as he gave to me. His understanding and commitment to serving others is the hallmark of a very great man. I wish your entire family peace in the knowledge that he touched so many and became a very positive influence in my life, even after he left Nicholas Plastics. He kept in touch with me and buoyed me at several difficult times, and for that I will be enternally grateful. May God be with you.

Thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us through this past year. My life was began the moment I fell into Joe's lap at a basketball game in December of 1963. Our first date was December 26, 1963 and from that time to this he was the only man in my life. We had a wonderful life together and God entrusted the lives of our three daughters and six grandchildren. I love this man and he loved me...our love is extended beyond his death.##imported-begin##Snow Martella##imported-end##
