Joseph P. Sedlock, age 78, of Ferrysburg passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1931, the youngest of eight children, to George and Maria “Mary” (Kopas) Sedlak in Barn Read Obituary

I served with Joe on the Destroyer USS John A. Bole (DD 755) in 1952 and '53..I was an Electrician's mate and often Joe and I were on the same watch in the engine room. He was a great guy to know and serve with.

We were so saddened to learn of Joe's passing. He was so blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family. He was so proud of all of you and always beamed with pride when he spoke of you! I know you will miss him terribly! He's probably cheating at pinochle right now with my dad! Always treasure your memories of him!

We will miss Joe, he was a great, kind man and we really enjoyed playing cribbage with him. It was a joy talking to him about many things. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so sorry to hear about Joe. We know how much he is loved and will be missed by so many people. Who do we have now that can tell us to go---up a rope. He was such a down to earth and genuinely nice person. Franny, our prayers and love are with you, even though we cannot be. We send you all a big, warm hug.
