Mrs. Joyce M. Peabody's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce M. Peabody, 80, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2017, in Muskegon. She was born April 17, 1937 to Peter and Goldie (Elwell) VanDyke in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Peabody had worked at Kmart for 25 years before retiring, loved to sew and crochet, and enjoyed looking after her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud (Paul). Survivors include 3 children, Debra (Terry) Murphy, Martin (Sharon) Uber, Vicki (Ronald) Klinger; 6 step-children; 4 grandchildren, Michele, Terry, Jr., Heather and Brian; several great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 2 brothers, George (Marcia) VanDyke, Richard (Jackie) VanDyke. She was also preceded in death by several siblings. The funeral service for Mrs. Peabody will be Tuesday, May 2, at 11:00 am at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 PM, and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery.
