I’m going to miss her very much we became friends after I found out that she on dialysis. She was waiting for a new kidney and then she was put on the list. She’s a very strong woman living her life laughing. I think she was always had a smile on her face but after dialysis it’s hard to smile that really wears you out. I am very proud of her for doing what she did.
I met Kathy when she got hired at Grand Haven Township. We became very good friends. She was always there for me when I needed her to watch my cats, to drive me to doctors appointments after surgery and just to go out to dinner. Our last dinner together, with our other friend, Denise, she told us of her decision. I was quite shocked but respected her choice.
We enjoyed a hockey game which turned out to be the last time I saw her. I am grateful for that. She will be remembered by me as a great friend, cat lover and family first person. I love you Kathy and miss you immensely. May you be at peace and at the Rainbow bridge!
