Resting in Peace,
My high school best friend... I loved having her as a companion for those precious years of our life.
Her favorite flowers were tulips!
She had such a creative side to her in all the ways she would express herself. She would take time and care in appreciating each other. For my 16th birthday she had created and gifted to me this amazing little journal book that was filled on every page with loving friendship expressions and all decorated. One of the most sacred hand made gifts to receive in hindsight. She was also so expressive in her style! Inspired me to be myself as well.
I have to admit, one of my favorite memories is cruising around in her fun purple/magenta colored jeep with the top down in the summer time and headed to the beach to hang out.
I did not know her very well in these later years and so I will cherish the old memories I have of the fun and laughter we shared.
There are no perfect words I can say here in condolences to the family. My utmost compassion to you all during these times of grieving.
We had a song. I would sing it to her on her birthdays...Its You are my Sunshine, just changed a little bit.
You are my Sunshine
Always my Sunshine
You make me happy
All of the time
You'll always know dear
How much I Love you
Because I'll tell you
All of the time.
And I will keep on singing this to you from the other side my ol' friend...shine...shine...shine... shine on.
In Loving Peace,
Chelsey Bartels
