Shared with Your friends and Ken's friends
I got word today that dear friend Ken Mitchell passed peacefully this past weekend. He and I became friends in the 80’s, while both working for GE. I remember, at that time, Kenny was at GE Evendale for some field training, I was running a little late at work, noticed he was still there, he had no one to give him a ride back to his motel, so I offered a ride and that’s how our long friendship got started. Over the years, I’ve visited him almost yearly, usually in the fall in Muskegon MI. I was honored to be his best man at his wedding to Barb. We had so many good times, it saddens me to think they have come to an end. He loved the Detroit Tigers and I overlooked the fact that he was a Michigan State fan. One unique trait about Kenny was how genuinely caring and interested he was in others. You may not have seen him for months but he would always remember your kids names, what you told him last time you saw him and ask about them and yourself, every time. People like that are hard to find. I trust the lord will take good care of him until I see him again.
