Kenneth Howard Sweeris' Obituary
Kenneth Howard Sweeris, age 68, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, October 30, 2015, at his home. He was born February 27, 1947, in Grand Rapids to Howard Dean and Beverly Joy (Aldrich) Sweeris, and he married Susan Kathryn Evans on September 30, 1967 in Grand Rapids.
Kenneth owned and operated Carpet Outlet in Grand Haven for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Grand Haven, loved fishing, hunting, golf, and was an avid football fan. His favorite team was the Michigan Wolverines.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan; his daughter, Betsy (Christopher) Deanes of Southern Pines, NC; his son, Brad (Kristie) Sweeris of Norton Shores; two grandchildren, Allie and Regan Deanes; his sister, Julie (Jim) Fisk of New Baltimore, NY; and his brother Bruce (Kim) Sweeris of Dorr, MI.
The funeral service for Kenneth will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Greg Larsen officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post # 28 Honor Guard. Friends may meet the family from 6- 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
