Sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. I just saw his obit online looking at Sytsema obits. I feel honored to have known this man, and considered him a good friend. Years ago Kevin did odd jobs for my dad & I. My dad's great grandmother was full Ottawa Indian, and Kevin was interested in Indian ancestry. We used to go visit him, and look at his garden, and talk about his carvings. Kevin was an excellent talented worker & a perfectionist in his skills. Kevin was born a natural artist, like me. I became friends with an older lady in Lakes Medical building, as did many many others, who was a friendly greeter, who would always pray with anyone. She was in her 90's when she died, but she always asked about Kevin. She had lived next door to him near Black Lake. She was very disappointed that no one could ever find where Kevin moved to after his time living south of Lowes. She always wanted to talk to Kevin one more time. She prayed constantly for him. My dad passed in 2009, and would have loved to have seen him again, also. Everyone was in love with Kevin's wood working. Not too long ago, someone asked about Kevin again. Now, we all know he is gone.
