Kevin J. Bishop's Obituary
Kevin J. Bishop, age 67, passed away November 9, 2021. He was born March 26, 1954 in Muskegon to Floyd and Dorothy (Schuitema) Bishop and was a lifelong resident. Kevin worked in construction carpentry for over 40 years as well as Lappo Lumber. He retired in 2009. He was a very talented woodworker and carver of wood – especially lifesize works of art like bears and Indians. Kevin will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Survivors include his sisters, Dawn (Thomas) Wood, Diane (Terry) White; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Joe Schuitema, 1 brother, Gene Bishop, 1 sister, Shery Swiftney, and his canine companion, Bo. In accord with Kevin’s wish, there will be no public services. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery.
