Kevin J. Visscher's Obituary
Kevin J. Visscher, 61 passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born in Muskegon on September 13, 1958 to Harry and Margaret (Bensinger) Visscher. He graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1977. On March 27, 1993 he married Kristin Ward and she survives him along with their children, Karson (Jordan) Covey and Alex Visscher; one sister, Carol Duba; one brother, Harry Mark (Joann) Visscher; sisters-in-law, Tami (Rich) Strodtbeck and Rhonda (Jim) Vanoss; brother-in-law, Mike (Heidi) Bobian; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Sonny Duba and his in laws, Dick Ward, Sharon Ward Bobian and Dick Bobian. Kevin was also known as Hossie. He was very involved in and loved men’s slow pitch softball where he pitched for many years. He loved hunting and camping and was a gentle giant. He will be truly missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Bethel Baptist Church, 1066 E. Byron Rd, Norton Shores, MI 49441. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior. Memorial contributions in Kevin’s honor can be made out to the Manton Christian Camp.
