Mr. Kirk Alan Stevens' Obituary
Mr. Kirk Alan Stevens, age 43, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. Kirk was born June 7, 1972 to Alan and Dawn (Veldman) Stevens in Muskegon. He was a self-employed floor installer for the past 21 years and prior to that, worked as a roll form operator at Spectra. He attended Bethel Baptist Church, was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and the American Motorcycle Association. Kirk was a prankster with an infectious laugh. He cared about everyone, especially his girls, Kirsha, Kiley, whom he called his “little river” and Kendra, whom he called his “little bear”. He was a hard worker and was loud like his mom. Kirk is SURVIVED by his daughters, Kirsha Nikole Stevens of Allendale, Kiley River Stevens of Grand Rapids, Kendra Marie Cox Stevens of Norton Shores; Kirsha and Kiley’s mother, Shelli Stevens of Grand Rapids; Kendra’s mother, Angela Marie Cox of Norton Shores; Kirk’s parents, Dawn (David) McCartney of Muskegon and Alan (Cathy) Stevens of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Kurt Stevens of Muskegon, Jason Becklin of Twin Lake; sisters, Jessica (Brent) Dykema of Fruitport, Tara Stevens of Huntsville, AL; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Festus Eric James Becklin. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, 213 Oak St. in Fruitport with Pastor Paul Lamberson officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
