I haven't seen Kyle since he was 8 or 9 years old but I worked with him in physical therapy while he attended Beach. I enjoyed his energetic spirit and sought ways to help him stay as strong as he could. He liked that I got him into places at school that none of the other kids could go....it was called 'stairs' which were not at the school except in the maintenance area. We practiced there regularly and he was diligent about giving his best. I have wondered about him often over the years as I retired in 2000. Seeing his picture posted here, I see the same Kyle, those same gentle eyes and the same set to his mouth. He certainly didn't change a lot in how he looked when he grew up. I am so sorry for your loss, he was a delightful young boy who never left my heart. I am sad for all of you, for the hole in your lives he has left. I am happy for him for the 'wholeness' he now has. I am happy to have known him and happier still to read the wonderful thoughts others have shared about him as an adult. May God be with all of you and bring you comfort during this time.

I have never seen someone so upbeat and defiant of this physical misfortune. He always had a smile on his face, was always friendly and easy to befriend. We were never close, but I have a lot of respect for the man/classmate. Rest in Peace buddy.

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear that Kyle passed. He was always a nice 'kid/fellow'. We lived across the street from you on Sheridan. My kids, Rick and Raelyn went to school with Kyle and became fast friends in Fruitport. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and you family ~ Tami Holmberg and family
Tammy, I was so sorry to hear of Kyle's passing. I will always remember him as the wide eyed little boy I took for an airplane ride many years ago. He is soaring on his own wings now, and we are left with fond memories.
