I was so saddened when I heard of Lanny's passing. I have many fond and fun memories volunteering with Lanny and Betty at the Food Truck as well as the times spent visiting with them at their home. He definitely was (is) a character and such a good guy. Betty and Lanny's marriage is not just husband and wife, but best friend and best friend; I feel privileged to be able to have been a part of their lives and witness their wonderful relationship. When I first met them, I honestly thought they were newly married because of the way they acted with each other, and was very surprised to learn otherwise. My heart goes out to you right now. I too lost my husband 2 years ago and I know the hurt and pain that you are going through.
