We are deeply sorry for your loss. We know that Larry was much beloved and his absence will be felt for a very long time. We are praying that the many wonderful memories will provide some comfort during this difficult time. We send much love to your family.
I could go on for hours of the memories of both my grandparents but anyone who knew them could do the same I'm sure! The things in life I was taught by the both of them will forever be priceless. Just as my heart will be forever broken. Only thing I can honestly say I'm happy about is the hope that they are together again! I'll be forever grateful for the feeling of peace I felt in your presence Grandpa our talks about sports and your stories of the fire dep
I didn’t know my Uncle Larry very well as my Dad, Dave Robbins, chose to live in Washington State where my Moms family was from. I only had the pleasure of meeting a handful of my relatives from Michigan on only a few occasions.
I do remember well, and still often brag about, the time Uncle Larry and Aunt Marty came to visit my Dad and Step-Mom in Sequim WA, many years ago. I must have been in my late 20s, early 30s...over 20myears ago...I had heard that Larry was quite the bowler and enjoyed a reputation as such so when they suggested a trip to the local lanes I was ready! It was just the three of us, Dad, Larry and me. But I whooped ‘em! Yes I did! Lol! I STILL have the score sheet to prove it! I’ll never forget that fun memory and the good time we had!
RIP Uncle Larry...you are with Aunt Marty now...
We remember seeing Larry almost every Sunday at Lakeside Church. We knew his boys Scott and especially Steve much better. We extend our Love and Prayers to all his family and friends.

We grew up together, Larry and I. A better brother than you could ask for. Even when we had a fight he was a good sport. (When we wrestled I won, when we had a fist fight, he won)
I remember one evening when I was pretending to be asleep on the living room floor because it was my turn to wash the dishes. Our Dad told Larry I was asleep so he'd have to wash them. "No he isn't, I'll show you!" He ran outside and then came back in. He began putting live bugs on my face. I don't know how but I just laid there. Even Larry began to believe I was asleep so he reluctantly went into the kitchen and washed the dishes.
So many memories. The almost nightly raids on the watermelon farm. The raft we built over several days only to have it sink in the creek. The time he came running home screaming and crying. Our Dad thought he was running from a fight so he started to spank him. Only then did he discover that Larry's pants were full of ground hornets
I shall miss him and will cherish the memories of us together.
his brother Dave..
I recall walking to the Harbor Theater in Lakeside with my older brother as I was about 7-8 years old. It was very exciting as I was about to see Star Wars for the first time and to my amazement when we arrived fire trucks were all around the theater. I had noticed Larry standing off to the side in all his fire gear and as I approached him I said "Mr Robbins, what's is going on?"
I had know Larry growing up as I lived across the street from him and Marty. Well, Larry's reply was "we're putting out a fire" I asked how long it was going to take and he asked me why? I told him the movie was going to start soon and I didnt want to miss any off it.
He said Glenn, you wont be watching your movie today. Well, anyone that knows me wouldnt be surprised that I said next..."if they all hurry up maybe I can still see the movie" I remember his smile and he says they will do whatever they can.
We all know I didnt get to see Star Wars that day, but Larry on that day as all through his life made sure we all were looked after and cared for in anyway he could.
It was a blessing to have Larry, Marty and the Robbins clan in my life
