My papa is my favorite person in the world. He always said the best jokes and was always finding something to laugh about. I’m so thankful that he was always around no matter what, any advice or anything you needed he always had an answer. Everyone that knows me knows that he was the most important person in my life, we were so close 🥰 He was so stubborn when you say “I love you” his reply was “ditto”, “same here”, “I know you do”, “me too” or “a little bit more” but we always knew how much he loved all of us. I never gave up and always said “I love you” there’s been a few times when he’s said it back & it’s such a special thing to hear coming from him. On Thursday of last week I was on the phone with him & he said “I love you too” ❤️❤️ I always get so happy when he says it but I will forever know it’s a little bit more than yesterday. I love you so much papa, a little bit more ❤️❤️

Dad is the best. He was an old-fashioned kind of guy. He could fix anything. Sometimes it was so funny to see how he fixed it. I once had the heat stop working in my car and it was the switch that didn’t work. Well Dad fixed it with an actual house light switch that I’d have to flip on and off. It still makes me giggle every time I think about it. He often worked 2 jobs and while he wasn’t the mushy emotional type we never doubted his love for us. He’d show it in little ways and we never went without. He was always teasing you making jokes. That he passed down because our family is just silly and I absolutely love that. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you again in heaven.

Dad did his best to take care of his family on a single income. We did not suffer and I continue to do the best to take care of my family.
He was always there when we needed anything from a question on how to repair a car to driving 800 miles to help get us home.
As we aged, the roles changed and he became dependent on me to answer those questions and help where needed.
He may have struggled and suffered through life but it wasn’t obvious. I was there at the end and ensured that he didn’t suffer as he passed on.
I was his first child to see him and the last one to see him after death. I will carry his teachings and memories with me always.
