Jane and family: I was so saddened to learn of Larry's untimely death. I truly enjoyed our time together at Rotary, especially the year he was president. I also valued the insight he brought to the Disability Connection Board on which we both served. He was passionate about helping others, especially those often overlooked by society. re He said he wasn't sleeping well - up until 3 or 4 a.m. working at the computer - maybe to bed by 5 a.m., up at 10 a.m. to come to the YFCA.
He spoke so highly of his wife and family and so enjoyed the visits by individual familes so that each could ceive undivided attention while visiting.
He was so looking forward to going to Ireland again as it was on your "bucket list". Did he know something that we did't? Gone way too soon!
He often spoke of feeling so "lucky." For example, for his wife, for their home that they got for a good deal, for his last election to the MCC Board.
Perhaps if it has now already been done, it would be wise to forward the agenda he was working on at 3 in the morning to the MCC Board.
After going THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, Larry will go right on helping and doing good for others. It's the "Wright" way and the only way he knows. He will be deeply missed - yes, even the jokes that he tells with a twinkle in his eyes.
May you all be comforted in knowing that all of our lives have been enriched because of our connection to Larry. It's hard to imagine class without him. He was not one to sneak in unnoticed.

Sorry we couldn't be at the visitation and funeral in person, but are on a mini-vacation.
Larry was such a "class-act" and so good in so many ways. He is going to be sorely missed by his family, friends, and the community.

Larry will be missed in so many ways. Larry was on the board of directors of the DIsability Connection/West Michigan, which had not been mentioned in the Chronicle articles. His expertise and experience within the disability community helped everyone on the board understand the issues more fully. He praised us for what we did right, and helped us when we needed direction. He had a seasoned intellect and a charming manner. But he wasn't the "teller of bad jokes," as the Chronicle said, he was the "teller of REALLY bad jokes." He was a trusted friend, and will be missed.##imported-begin##Tom Grein##imported-end##
