Carole,Nikki,Jessica & families. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am glad to have known Larry.I will remember his wit and his dry sense of humor. Mr. Lap was my 11th grade Honor English teacher. I will always remember his class. It was first hour and 90% of the class were girls. He would always have his coffee in his hand and ask us about are game. Especially if we were playing against his daughter Nicole. I've known Mr. Lap for many years since he went to school with my father Carl. He was always involved some how with the school either announcing games, umpiring or just supporting us all. He will be missed. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Carole:
Larry and I always shared a warm and mutual respect for one another. He was a kind and gentle man, a precious soul, and I appreciated him as he welcomed me to OV oh, so many years ago.
Please know how much he meant to so many; may their love and concern help to support you and give you strength. May God bless you and bring you peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family in this difficult time. I hope that you are at least somewhat comforted by knowing that he is surely in God's hands now. I know that he will be missed by many, and Orchard View is losing a great voice and advocate. God bless.##imported-begin##Alicia (Sikkenga) Urbain##imported-end##

Mr. Lap...What can you say...He was my basketball coach in eighth grade. I so was so bad but he never gave up. I can't say I had much improvement but he made me think so. Mr. Lap was by far the best sub I have ever had all through school. He was amazing because he new every students name and he wasn't even a teacher. That is impressive. It was wierd not seeing him around towards the end of my senior year. I will never forget "Nikki 'Kinder Gentler World' Kinder" That will always put a smile on my face. Mr. Lap was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. He was the voice of the cardinal!##imported-begin##Nichole Kinder C/O 2004##imported-end##
Coach Lapomarda was truly a credit to his profession. I look back with the fondest memories of having him as a teacher and coach. His ability to laugh and make a serious moment light hearted was truly a gift. His smile and wit will be truly missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.##imported-begin##Mark Jalovec##imported-end##
