Mr. LeRoy Donald Mudge's Obituary
Mr. LeRoy Donald Mudge, age 84, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Agape Home. He was born August 31, 1927 to Gertrude Koral in Nunica, MI and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. He served with the U.S. Army in Italy (Oct. 1946-Dec. 1947) and Korea (Oct. 1950-Aug. 1951). On December 3, 1949, LeRoy married Ruth A. Lohman, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 1989. LeRoy and Ruth traveled many places and were members of the Dragon Wagons Trailer Club for years. LeRoy worked at Shaw-Walker, Old Dutch (Marathon Oil) and retired from Honeywell Burdick and Jackson in Aug. 1989. LeRoy enjoyed working in his yard, deer hunting, camping, fishing and he had a love of working on old cars and just tinkering. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church. He taught his children that anything can be done if you just make up your mind and get to it. LeRoy is survived by his son, David (Nola) Mudge, Sharon Spilka; 1 granddaughter, Kristin (Brad) Matthews; 1 sister, Mary Lamb of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. LeRoy was also preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and James Koral, four sisters, and an infant brother. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Crestwood United Methodist Church (1220 Creston) with Pastor Steve Weinberger officiating. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at
