Linda was always just the nicest lady and always took time to talk with me and ask how my family was doing. She always showed interest in my opinion of ingoing issues and listened to everything I had to say. And running into her at Home Depot in the garden section was just a joyful time.

We remember shared memories of Maggie and Scott's wedding on Mackinac Island; our trip to Northport and the L.Mawby vineyards with Linda, Jim, Maggie and Scott; as well as when we returned to Mackinac Island to celebrate Maggie and Scott's 5th wedding anniversary with our families.

We are reminded of the shared holidays over the years in Muskegon, Chicago and Cranford with Melissa, Tim and their girls.

A highlight of our all our lives was being together when Conner and Madison were born.

We are thankful and grateful for all the memories of our families being together.

I am thankful for the many years of friendship with Linda. Working together on the school board for 15 years and the many weekend evening diners with her and Jim were great times, as well as the parties recently with her and Don. She also attended my recent wedding in August, which meant a lot to me. Linda was always my "go to" person if I was conflicted on a school issue for guidance. She was there for many, because she was viewed as a great leader. The Norton Shores/Mona Shores community will miss her leadership, as will I.

Dear Maggie and Melissa:

I have known Linda since she joined P.E.O. a long time ago. We were "special" sisters one year and had lots of fun talking over lunch one day. I asked how she became such a good cook. Her answer was that she and Jim didn't have much money when they first got married so instead of going out for dinner, they brought the ingredients home and experimented. What a wonderful way to get to know your partner for life!!! I will miss her very much.
