When Linda was "Prom Queen." She was a light.
i would like a plaque of Linda at Heartwood because that's just how special and pivotal she was to the home. I was her aide the from the first night there to her last morning. I called her "Sis" because we bickered like sisters, sang together, laughed together, raged together and even aged together with our birthdays only 10 days apart. I created the mermaid monster when I first began to shape her blankets in such a way at her feet in her electric wheelchair to make it look like a mermaid because I loved mermaids and collected them. On my birthday I split my birthday present with her and gave her my mermaid tail I was gifted with a matching duffle bag with mermaid scales. Little did I know that I was starting an epidemic. Words can't express the void she leaves behind. I know someday we will ride horses and
mermaids together. Until then Lin, sweet dreams Sis.
Linda was such a ray of sunshine at Heartwood Lodge. Countless memories were made with her between her friendships with the residents and the love shared by the staff. We will miss sitting on the porch and listening to music this summer. We will never forget our "Queen" of Heartwood! -Rebecca
