Linda M. Swords' Obituary
Linda M. Swords, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after a lifelong journey with cerebral palsy. She was born on November 30, 1955, to Richard and Delores (Brace) Swords in Muskegon, Michigan. Linda attended Wesley School and Muskegon Area Intermediate School, MAISD. She resided at Heartwood Lodge for 12 years where she made countless friends. She found great joy in working on word puzzles and found a hobby in knitting. One of her greatest passions was horseback riding, where she felt truly happy and free. Linda was a very loving and kind-hearted woman whose outgoing personality made everyone feel welcome. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and gentle spirit and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving sister, Cindy (Ken) Kamp; nephew, Daniel Kamp; great nieces and nephews; three aunts, Karen Swords, Kay (Chuck) George and Lois (Chuck) Byer; uncle, Jack (Marcia) Brace; numerous cousins; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, Rick Kamp. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. A Visitation with the family will be held from 1-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Linda’s honor can be directed to Trinity Hospice of Grand Haven. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Share memories with the family at https://www.sytsemafh.com.
