I shared many wonderful times with Lois through the years with our mutual love of flying. I took her with me on many flights in my Cardinal including one memorable one all the way around the country while doing my aerial photography jobs in Texas, New Mexico, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and many other sites. She was always upbeat and great fun to be with. She kept a wonderful diary to augment her memory, and planned to write an autobiography one day. I wish she had accomplished that goal, as it would have been a wonderful book of an incredible life! I hope that diary and the parts of her book that were on her computer are in safe hands.
I have become quite accustomed and looked forward to sharing holiday meals with Aunt Dee at the Clarke's house. I always looked forward to laughs and sharing memories with a woman who led an incredible life. I will miss seeing her, but will cherish the times I was able to share and the moments of joy. Aunt Dee, you are in good company now, and I know you will be smiling down on this family you loved so much. Lynn Wiles
Dear Linda,
Thank you for your kindness in letting us know Lois had gone Home. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and let us know of her passing. We knew something wasn't right when our last card to her came back as undeliverable and were sorry to hear she had been sick for quite a while.
I had a lot in common with your Aunt. We both attended Dalton Baptist, where we met and attended Monday night Bible study at Bunk & Bonnie's. We both belonged to GLLKA and enjoyed lighthouses and the UP. And, comparing notes, we found we both lived in Marquette at the same time, years before we met. She was a wonderful lady; funny and wise and caring. We know she is Home with her Lord now; free from pain.
We wish we could join you for the services, but we will be there in spirit. May our Lord comfort your family during the days ahead.
With love, julie buckmaster
