Jim,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. It must be very hard to have both of your parents gone.
Sincerely,
Denien##imported-begin##Denien Larson (Umphrey)##imported-end##
I was sad at hearing of Lois passing. She was such a good neighbor along with Jim. As a next door neighbor we would chat about the yards and roof problems. I know she loved her yard and kept it so pretty. I will miss seeing her.##imported-begin##Larry Culbertson##imported-end##

I was very saddened to hear of the loss of Lois. Twenty Five years ago I worked for Lois at Elastodyne Industries in Spring Lake. She taught me so much during my time there. She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.##imported-begin##Karen Pitcher (Cribley)##imported-end##
When I moved to Spring Lake 24 years ago, I became a next-door neighbor of Lois & Jim. They were the best neighbors anyone could ever have.
Over the years I've developed a nice collection of visual memories of Lois. As I write, I see Lois on a summer day working in her perennial garden.
I made my first "mental photo" of Lois long before I ever met her. My parents built this little house next to Lois & Jim's home in 1967. Across the street was a large field with lake frontage and a dock. Visiting my parents one weekend, I saw an attractive woman in white shorts & top sitting on the dock, her long legs stretched out in front of her. Later I learned this was Lois. She was probably watching Jim in a Spring Lake Yacht regatta.

We are very saddened to hear of Lois' passing. She was a real "lady" and always very friendly and gracious. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. It seems only yesterday that son Jim was in my first class at SL Jr. high and he would come with me to SL Pres Church to listen and watch (and yes, try out ) the organ. However that was almost 50 years ago. memories are so dear and you have many good ones of Lois. Accept our sincere sympathy

Doug, our sincere condolences to you and your family. I have a fond memory of meeting your Mom and Dad when they came to visit you when we were at Emory. Our thoughts are with you.##imported-begin##Albert and Sally McKay##imported-end##
We are so priviledged to have been neighbors of Lois and Jim. My husband brought them raspberries from his garden and they both loved them and were so appreciative of his gesture of kindness to them. They will both be always remembered by us as wonderful people. Our sympathies go out to their family and their neighbors who miss them greatly. Our hearts go out to Doug, Barrie and the entire Christman family. We know that Lois was a special person because she was Doug's mother. We will be thinking of you on Friday.##imported-begin##Bill and Maureen Bishop##imported-end##
