Ms. Lois M. Brondyke, age 87, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Oak Crest Manor. She was born June 30, 1923 in Muskegon to Harry and Julia (Johnson) Brondyke, and resided in the area all of her life. Lois worked 43 years at Te Read Obituary
What a blessing to have Aunt Lois be a part of our lives. She always had a kind word (unless she was correcting us)an genuine interest in our lives, and candy in her purse at church. She could bowl much better, and whistle much louder at Tiger games than I could, but I will remember her most as a faithful servant of God. Looking forward to seeing her family and friends. Since we saw Mrs. McMillan and someone else at Miss Lisa's Sunday I've been watching knowing Aunt Lois was going "home" sometime soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Here she will be at her final viewing there where she lived, her earthly body where her earthly home was somewhat ironic. I wish I would be able to be there for you all at the viewing and funeral but with me working here in Evart I won't be able to be there. Know my heart will be there. I love you all and have known so many of you in the family all my life! I never knew Aunt Lois anything but that - Aunt Lois. Love to you all and I will continue to pray for you - though we know she is not suffering and in a much better place - that still leaves a hole in our hearts here.

So many great memories of time spent with Aunt Lois! I sure will miss her. I visited with her every time I came "home" to Grand Haven.
I was able to see her for one last time shortly before she passed away and my last memory is that of her singing hymns along with us. Then I told her I loved her and kissed her good-bye...
