Lois M. Brondyke's Obituary
Ms. Lois M. Brondyke, age 87, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Oak Crest Manor. She was born June 30, 1923 in Muskegon to Harry and Julia (Johnson) Brondyke, and resided in the area all of her life. Lois worked 43 years at Teledyne Continental Motors, and was a member of Little Black Lake Baptist Church where she served as secretary and treasurer for many years. She also bowled for many teams in the area. SURVIVORS include her sisters, Ann (Dewey) Phillips of Norton Shores, Beth McMillian of Fruitport; brother, Arnold (Barbara) Brondyke of Spring Lake; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Brondyke and Lillian Brondyke; brother-in-law, Andy Nelson; along with many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by 9 siblings. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and 1 hour prior to the service. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Lois will be 11AM Wednesday at Little Black Lake Baptist Church (842 Pontaluna Rd.) with her nephew, Rev. Tim Brondyke and Revs. Garth and Dorman Hutchison officiating. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to N. Ottawa Hospice, Little Black Lake Baptist Church, and Camp Michawana c/o Lysle and Carm Johnson will be appreciated.
