I sold Mark his Suburban which seems today in ways like a 100 years ago... We just kind of hit it off and we became friends from there. Helped my boys get hooked up with Scouts.... Mark was the one person you could ALWAYS count on .... His word was his bond and you could take it to the end of time.... In the end, a real man has the love of his family, friends, and his word at the end of his life.... Mark quietly in his own way showed us all how to be a real man and do it right.... that’s what I will miss about him most..... When my buddy Steve Boyink and I hosted the Spring Lake Heritage Festival Car Show for years we’re always in need of help and simply people we could trust to do what they said they would.... Mark would bring his Scout troop... They put up our flag. (no one knealed) and fed hundreds of us with food... Just worked hard and never complained ... last time we talked it was adout his huge buck he had shot.... Ive got the best clothing, bow, spot to hunt ect and I hadn’t shot a thing!! He grabs his crossbow and waddles out into the woods and leans against a tree... literally!!! Next thing he knows this huge 10 point jogs downs a hill and stands 15 yards broadside.
Mark reaches accross his body, swings the bow around, and shoots the deer.... If you hunt you know it just doesn’t happen that way!!! It was just meant to be 😊🦌. I will miss Mark because of his old fashioned honesty and integrity... a rare commodity today. Michael Walling
