My thoughts and prayers to out to Aunt Lucy's kids and extended family. I enjoyed many the visit to Muskegon to visit with the family as I grew up, always knowing that the coffee would be on (when I started drinking it) and friendly conversation would surround the often crowded kitchen table as members of the family were always coming and going in their own directions.
She will be missed as Uncle Arne before her. Their love for kids and the world could not be quieted and lives on in the spirit of all of us.

Lucy Koski was such a special person to me. She was like a 2nd mother when I was young and part of her girl scout troop. She taught me good maners. She took me and the other girls on so many trips. I know she is in the house of the lord and can put her disease behind her now. She is at peace and in the loving company of all of those including my mother who preceeded her in death.

Mom, you were always there & showing concern. I think you enjoyed being a scout leader to help girls smooth out the bumps in the road. You had experience with a lot of bumps, but they never held you back. Many who knew you are already gone, so we can't hear their special words about you. It was so fun to see you speak Finnish in Finland. Then there was the time you disguised yourself when Dad was giving out the trick or treat candy. I guess Dad really didn't recognize you, and you got so tickled over it. You had so much love which some people just weren't aware of! That last time you fixed me oatmeal, and I didn't want to eat it. I didn't want to say it, but you read my face so quick. You said I could give it to Roo, so I did. Maybe I can write a book to share you. I hope others can share some memories of theirs of you.

I was so sad I wasn't able to say my goodbyes in person. However, Grandma, I will carry you in my heart forever. My heart is so full of the most wonderful memories of you. I remember living up in the attic in the summers we would visit, watching my beautiful Aunt Maija get ready for the day. The moment we came door the stairs, the amazing smell of Pulla would greet us. You did everything you could to show us how much you loved us all and took such special care of us. But my favorite memory is your laugh and the way it just lit up your face. Our sincere sympathy to the Koski family in the loss of Lucy. I haven't seen Lucy in years but we always used to exchange Christmas cards. The family started with 14 and now it is down to 2. Makes one sad although we all know that we are here for only a short time. Our prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your Mom and Grandma.
