M. Eileen Camp Nordhoff's Obituary
Margaret Eileen (Camp) Nordhoff, age 76, passed away on December 10, 2019 in Norton Shores. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI to G. Joseph and Margaret (Flynn) Camp of Niles. Eileen graduated from Niles High School, and then St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame with a B.S. and Michigan State University with a Master’s degree in elementary education and taught school for 30 years, 27 of them in Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her parents. SURVIVING are husband, Dr. James Nordhoff DDS of Muskegon; step-children, Todd (Beth) Nordhoff of Huntersville, NC, Terri (Patrick) Young of Waxhaw, NC, grandchildren, Conner and Haley Young of Waxhaw; brother, Ed Camp (Sylvia Stull) of South Bend, IN, and a niece and nephew. Mrs. Nordhoff had been a member of the local, state and National Teacher’s Associations, the Muskegon County Nature Club, an American Red Cross volunteer, and a member of Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Muskegon. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Edwin Carreño and Deacon Jim Schiltz presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the mass at St. Mary’s, from 10-11AM. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Mrs. Nordhoff’s name may be made to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry or Charity of Choice. Share memories with the family online at sytsemafh.com.
