Mae Palsrok's Obituary
Mrs. Mae J. Palsrok, age 92, passed away Monday evening, September 13, 2004 in St. Joseph, MI. She was born October 10, 1911 in Reeman, and lived almost all of her life in Muskegon, before moving to St. Joseph. She worked as a seamstress for Angie’s Fashions for 18 years, retiring in 1994 at the age of 82, was a long-time member of First Christian Reformed Church, the Ladies Aid Society, and helped for many years with banquets at the Christian School. She married Peter Palsrok on October 10, 1934 in Reeman, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1964. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, and 7 sisters. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Sandra M. Veltkamp of Lexington, KY, Karen R. (David) Sondregger of Largo, FL, Pamela (Richard) Malenfant of Stevensville, MI; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at First Christian Reformed Church, with Pastor Jeff Boersma officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 will be from 5-8 PM Thursday. Share memories with the family at their On-line Guest Book at www.sytsemafh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Muskegon Christian School, or Western Michigan Christian High School.
