My Dear Aunt Mae, Oh, how I'm gonna miss you!!! You and Uncle Ben were always a bright shinning star in my life. I never could understand how you could take on two extra boys (my brother and I) in the summer for a week. Those were some of the best memories of my life. All the Sunday afternoons we came to your house on Weber Rd, you always put on a good meal, and afterwards you and Uncle Ben and Mom and Dad would play pinockle? all evening. I loved all those days!! Us kids would dig holes and bury each other, in the sugar sand that your whole yard was made of. I don't remember ever getting yelled at for it, we were just sent to the bathroom to take a bath. I know you hated to live next to that sawmill, and living on a sand hill, but those were some of the best memories of my life. It was always a treat for me when our families, your's and my dad's (Ray) got together for anything. All the fishing and the fish fry's we had on that old wood stove in our back yard. I wish those days could have lasted forever. I know we will be together again someday, and make more good memories. Now your with Dad and Uncle Ben, Mark and Carl. They've probably needed you there for quite some time to keep them all inline. Give them all my love, I miss them all so much too!!! I was so lucky to have you as an Aunt!!! Len Gilmore, Kenny and Arlene too!!
Dear Grandma, I have so many great memories that I will have the rest of my life. I remember I always wanted you to play your organ when I would come to your house. All the camping trips up north a Big star lake, and helping you in the garden picking green beans so you could can them. I have so many great memories it would take a life time to tell them all. I love and miss you already. Tell my dad I miss him and grandpa and uncle Mark. You will always be in my heart and I know I will see you again. Love, Rhonda
My dear sister, Where do I start? There are so many, many memories. I was with you and Ben a few years before those 5 mischievous and loving boys came along. You often told me about when you were 15 the ambulance driver handed me to Ray and how he quickly handed me to you. So at the age of 15 you were responsible for your twin brother Ray also bro. Jim at 11 yrs. old, Tom at 4 yrs. old and a new born , a baby sister. WOW!!! I can only imagine what a job it must have been. Alone at 15 years old with a houseful of responsibilities and from that day on I was your shadow pretty much through my growing years, You taught me so very much, life in general and guided me through those domestic chores, large and small. I love and miss you already but I know you have gone to a better place and you don't have to look out that window anymore, be at peace my dear sister, we will all cherish your memories. Our mother will be missed by both of us.We enjoyed many years of happy times and a few sad times. We were able to spend many summers together when Mom and Dad came from Florida. They stayed at our house and we had many card games and enjoyed time talking on our deck. Mom was a wonderful cook and taught our kids to cook when I wasn't a very good cook. She was a kind, giving person.Sometimes too giving but that was her. She was a wonderful person, wonderful mom and a loving grandma. It is always hard when someone you love passes. It seems like a dream but it isn't and it is all too real. They are here your whole life and then gone in a minute. It is hard to comprehend that you can't call or go see them like you have for years. We love you mom. You will always be around for us, we know. Be happy with dad and Mark and all the relatives that have passed. We will see you somewhere in time.
Love,
Bill and Kris Schaeffer
Prayers go out to Aunt Mae's family - she was a very special person - our mother and father's sister-in-law & our Aunt. She was the last connection to that generation on my father's side of our family. We met our Uncle Ben, Aunt Mae, & 5 cousins we had never known existed when I was about 16 years old. It's when my dad was reunited with his brothers as he was adopted by his Aunt when he was 5 years old. He was surprised to find they lived so close to him for all the years they were separated. It was wonderful for us to share so many years...

Dear Grandma Schaeffer,
I will miss you and will cherish my memories of you forever. I can remember going to your house on Whitehall on Sundays for dinner you used to make us kids eat most of our vegetables. I remember when you used to play beautiful music on your organ for us. I have memories of picking I think it was blueberries in your backyard and eating a lot of them. I loved it when Grandpa used to call us girls boys that was funny. I will never forget you or Grandpa. Tell Grandpa, Uncle Mark and my dad I love them very much and I miss them.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER
YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER
